Excerpts of the Government order sanctioning approval to the PRI pilot intervention

"…I am directed to convey the approval of the Government for the implementation of pilot intervention by Indo-Swiss Participative Watershed Development Project Karnataka at Bonthi Gramapanchayat, Aurad Taluk, Bidar District."
"The Director, Panchayati Raj, Government of Karnataka will be the State level Co-ordinator of the Project."
"…the details of Pilot Project including benchmarks and monitoring mechanism shall be discussed and finalised jointly by the Grama Panchayath, CEO Bidar, Zilla Panchayat, Executive Officer, Aurad Taluk Panchayat and SDC/IC PSMU Bangalore."
"The responsibility for implementing the project and to decide on all aspects of the project will be with the Grama Panchayat. Necessary approval to the project components shall be obtained in the Gramasabhas only. The Grama Panchayat shall constitute a sub-committee under Sec. 61(A) of the Karnataka Panchyat Raj Act 1993 to plan, implement, monitor and manage the project with the facilitation support from all the stakeholders of the Pilot Project."
"A Committee consisting of CEO-ZP, Bidar, EO, Bidar GP and its sub commiittee members, SDC/IC PSMU and other stake holders shall function as a steering committee for the overall monitoring of the project and to provide necessary support to the Gramapanchayat for its successful implementation and management of the Pilot Project."
"The funds shall be routed through the Gramapanchayat, Bonthi and the GP shall open a separate Bank Account for this Pilot Project. The GP with its sub committee shall manage the funds of the project in a transparent manner and maintain the accounts as per Karnataka Panchayat Raj (Grama Panchayat Accounts and Budget) Rules 1995 and other guidelines issued by the Government from time to time. The accounts of the Pilot Project shall be audited as per Sec. 246 of the KPR Act and the audited statements of the accounts shall be submitted to GOK, SDC/IC PSMU."
"The relevant learnings generated from the pilot project shall be shared with GOK and other GPs."
