Study by Felix Gnehm

Felix Gnehm, Geologist, currently completing NADEL, Postgraduate Course on Developing Countries at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology ETH Zürich, Switzerland, was invited by SDC-IC PSMU to complete an 11 months project assignment in ISPWDK. Felix was with us from March 2003 to February 2004, of which some 9 months were spent in the field.

During this period Felix first developed an ISPWDK base line report containing the basic socio economic, bio physical and human activity (land based and non land based) data from the three project watersheds of MYRADA, PRAWARDA and SAMUHA.

The second part of Felix's assignment focussed on a study on Rural Livelihood Systems and the various ISPWDK approaches in their livelihood promotion strategy.
