The Watershed AreaMYRADA is a non-governmental organisation working in the remote areas of south India. MYRADA started in 1968 and has been a partner in the ISPWDK project since Phase 1.

The organisation builds and capacitates people's institutions and focuses on participatory natural resource management, sustainable agriculture, strengthening self help groups and livelihood promotion. More on MYRADA

The Chincholi Watershed Development Project is located at Kodli in Chincholi Taluk and is a replication of the PIDOW Watershed model. MYRADA has covered an area of around 6000 ha in 15 villages under Phase 1.

As an entry point, MYRADA has promoted 30 women's Self Help Groups in the border villages (Andhra Pradesh) of Shadipur, Chincholi Taluk. This programme is supported by the Zilla Panchayat of Gulbarga and will adopt the watershed management strategy developed with the guidelines of IWDP. More on the project
