With efficiency of 75 percent in mobilising funds in the first year from the Self Help Groups (SHGs) and Rs. 100.00 lakh from institutions, the GMASK will be in a position to mobilise Rs. 112.42 lakh. It proposes to lend this fund at 10 percent to SHGs and/ or Federations.

p>It is possible to earn an income of Rs. 11.82 lakh in the first year and the estimated expenses in terms of interest outflow and administration expenses are estimated at Rs. 10.75 lakh - yielding a net earning of Rs. 1.07 lakhs in the first year itself.

In the long run, the GMASK will earn profits in the range of Rs. 17.82 lakh as there will be higher level of fund mobilisation, and potential for borrowing will be created through capacity building in terms of enterprise development initiatives.

GMASK is a viable option. It can make profits from the very first year. In the process, it helps the SHGs to save 3 percent interest. In the long run this reduced interest means a saving of Rs. 1.50 lakh every year.

In the long run, GMASK may cover all the SHGs in the Taluk (even those promoted by other organisations) to grow into a premier women's development organisation.
