The objective of this activity is to ensure joint planning, monitoring and evaluation with the community in order to achieve project objectives.

Participatory micro planning
For the period 2002 to 2005, the intervention aims towards:

• Data collection from seven villages covering a total area of 3500 ha and;
• Micro-level planning at the village level.

The expected results are:

• Socio-economic, geographical and physical resources related information will be incorporated into GIS maps.
• Village and survey number based micro plans prepared through participatory processes in seven villages including land and non-land based development activities.

Monitoring
The priority focus for the next three years is as follows:

• Staff Review Meeting
• Joint Programme Review
• Joint review with the NGOs, Village Development Societies and Watershed Management Committees
• Programme Steering Centre Review meeting
• Review meeting by Programme Implementation and Review Committee
• Project Advisory Committee meeting

Evaluation
The priority focus for the next three years is as follows:

• End of second year-self evaluation.
• End of third year extension evaluation.
• Impact Assessment Intervention wise and
• Overall Impact Assessment
