ISPWDK plans to take up a Natural Resource Management and livelihood development programme with Panchayati Raj Institutions as a pilot intervention to empower local people through the Gram Panchayat. As part of their Management Traineeship, Krishna V. R. and Rana Surabhi, students of the Institute Of Rural Management, Anand, conducted a study in ISPWDK titled:
"WORKING WITH PANCHAYATI RAJ INSTITUTIONS -A CASE OF BONTHI GRAM PANCHAYAT (AURAD TALUKA, BIDAR DISTRICT, KARNATAKA)."
The assignment involved the study and collection of preliminary information about Aurad Taluka of Bidar district: its area, people, social composition and other demographic features that are relavant to the plans of ISPWDK.
